Betty and Barney Hill, the Documented Evidence, and Media Spin: Then and Now
The 1961 abduction of Betty and Barney Hill burst into print media in 1966 generating an explosion of public interest and unease at the Pentagon. The book was not entirely accurate, nor was a 1975 movie starring James Earl Jones and Estelle Parsons. The publicity around the Hills’ abduction brought a hoard of spin masters who injected new scenarios, distortion, and doubt to the already inaccurate mix. It is not surprising that fact and fiction have combined through the twist and turns of this great taboo both then and now. Kathleen’s presentation includes professionally painted slides, original photographs, the Project Blue Book and NICAP documents, excerpts from the hypnosis tapes, and the scientific investigation of the evidence which separates substantiated historical data from media spin.
Kathleen Marden is a researcher, author, international conference presenter, experiencer advocate, on camera expert, and hypnosis practitioner. Since 1990, she has researched the perplexing nature of UFOs and the non-human entities associated with highly advanced aerial vehicles via her own groundbreaking research, investigation, and experimentation. Her research has extended to archival collections and the US government’s involvement in the investigation of UFOs and its major studies.
